A U.S. Supreme Court ruling paved the way for corporations to spend money on television ads directly in favor or opposed to political candidates.

A Minnesota group called MN Forward quickly took advantage of the new ruling and their first political ad supports Republican Tom Emmer.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS political reporter Tom Hauser put the ad through the Truth Test.

Hubbard Broadcasting, which owns KSTP, is a contributor to MN Forward.
